What are the Sauce Reports?
The sauce reports are descriptions of fictional sexual encounters that ostensibly took place in a fictional College known as the Mulder Time Institude, written and presented in the style of a tem paper, with illustrations and diagrams. These are “FBI” dossiers, so to speak, documenting a series of liaisons, abstracting them with pseudo-scientific and surreal poetic jargon.

Presentation
The Sauce Reports will be presented in “report covers” and placed on tables in a gallery to be flipped through by viewers. Each report will be 4 to 10 pages, with plenty of photographs and diagrams to illustrate the encounter. In addition each report will be posted as a facsimile on the web.

There are a few things any potential model should know before participating in
this project:
• The Sauce Reports will be displayed in Galleries and public places, both alone
and as sets.
• The Sauce Report will be displayed on the internet in detail
• The model should choose an authentic sounding “regular name”  pseudonym as their identity (Example: Stacey Payne)
•  Anonymity of the model's name will be upheld (unless they wish otherwise)
•  Partial nudity is required
• The model will need to sign a standard model release form.

The Type of Model Needed
The Sauce Report is more of an artistic collaboration than a typical modeling assignment where you would show up, get photographed, then leave. I am seeking models who have shown that they have an active imagination and are dedicated to making interesting art, whether it be in photography or other mediums. In addition, I am contacting models that have an interest in “role-playing”, whether it be retro characters from earlier periods (Victorian, 20’s Flapper, 40’s pin-up, etc.) or futuristic (cyber-goth, tank girl, sci-fi fetish, etc.).  This project will require the model to adopt the guise of a fictional character, and then will require her to create scenarios and back-story for a set of Polaroid photographs. I will not take the photos myself; the model will have them taken remotely by a third party under the model's supervision, according to instructions I will provide; as such, the photos are deliberately not intended to be artfully polished. The photos are not an end to themselves; they are just one element within the report which will primarily be a fictional text based on the images that are sent to me.

The Models for this project will be given a wide berth with regard to creating their own character, both in wardrobe and in context. They will first need to pick a time period from which they will originate. It can be the past, the present or the future. They will need to select a distinct wardrobe that fits the time period of the character they portray.  Before shooting, the model would work with me to flesh out the character and to devise three fictional sexual encounters. The model would then have to photograph themselves at each of the three scenes, ostensibly before,  during, or after the encounter, as if she and her lover had paused to take some candid shots. They would then isolate an element that appears in the photos from the scene (dirt, grass, panties, a stray earring) and photograph it as if it were evidence. An added hook would be if the places could be exotic, historical, or otherwise notable.

Who Takes the Pictures?
The model will need to arrange for a friend to take the Polaroid photos according to instructions; most of the models I am working with are remote, and I will not be able to travel extensively to complete this project. I have worked remotely with other models on projects in the past and have been pleased with the results. Due to the nature of this project, a professional (or semi-professional) photographer is not needed to take the pictures. In fact, I am deliberately looking for an amateur, unpolished look to the photos, as it will add to the authenticity of the project. If the images look TOO artful, or posed, then the spontaneous nature of the impression that I have in mind may be compromised. I would then use the raw materials as a springboard to write up and compile the Sauce Report.

The Scenario
The story is this: over a period of about 3 months, the model has a brief, but intense relationship with a member of a rock band that travels through time. Though there is no evidence of the male lover in the photos, he brought a Polaroid camera with him and took some photographs of during his visits.

In the artwork, a fictional third party (a “FBI” type figure (similar to an Interzone Agent in William Burroughs books) will be tasked with documenting the activities of the time traveler during this period. The photos will be combined with text to provide a final report, which will look like a college term paper, compete with illustrations, captions, footnotes, and a cover page.

Instructions
The images will be taken with a Polaroid camera. I have deliberately chosen Polaroid photos (as opposed to Digital Photos) for their unique and immediate character. Polaroids have a rough, amateurish quality to them that intensifies a specific moment in space and time. While copies of them can be made, the original has a rich, unique quality that doesn’t lend itself easily to reproduction. In addition, Polaroid photos have harsh lighting, grainy quality, and unique color aspects that are similar from one camera to the next. This lends a consistency from one project to the next, so that when I have assembled 12 or more sets of this project, there will be somewhat of an illusion that the same photographer was involved in many of the shoots.

1 – Photo Booth Shots – take 5 to 10 photos of your head and shoulders against a white or neutral background, similar to the distance you would take in a photo booth shot. These photos would be “yearbook” type photos where I will be able to isolate your head and shoulders for the purpose of illustrations.

2 – Three Places where an encounter took place – photograph the actual places where three sexual encounters took place. I’m not looking for landscape photos, I’m looking more for photos of the ground where the incident took place (i.e. a bed, bathtub, carpet, grassy area). There should be an element such as an earring, or article of clothing. 1 to 2 photos of each location.

3 – In each of the three places you select, photograph yourself in character and in costume, in various states of dress and undress. These photos should be taken as candids, and not look particularly posed or contrived. In other words, these photos should look as if you were in the middle of getting dressed or undressed, and  your lover just happened to snap a couple of quick photos. I would prefer there to be some degree of nudity in these shots, so as to provide some provocative images that will stand out in the final report. However, any explicitly pornographic images showing actual sex, ect would push the envelope too far. I am looking for the moments before and after the events, not a sexual event in itself. 10 to 15 photos in each of the three locations.

4 – Photograph your sexiest feature in close up – the feature should be nude – for instance if you think your best feature is your legs, there should be close up of your legs with no stockings, socks, shoes, pants or other dressing. 5 to 10 photos.

5 – Candids – take about 10 images of yourself participating in various activities – any activities will do! You should be fully in costume and character in all of these candid photos.
